1 Role of AutoRent.gr (Platform)
AutoRent.gr is an online booking platform operated by "Creative Media" (sole proprietorship, Voulgaroktonou 25, Kalamaria, Thessaloniki). The platform itself does not own vehicles and does not provide rental services directly. Bookings made through AutoRent.gr are fulfilled by a licensed partner car rental agency based in Thessaloniki, which: (a) provides the vehicle, (b) signs the rental contract with the customer at pickup, and (c) issues the official tax receipt (ΑΠΥ/invoice). AutoRent.gr acts as a technological intermediary, handling presentation, online booking and secure online payment collection on behalf of the partner.
2 General Terms
These Terms of Use govern the use of the AutoRent.gr platform and the booking of car rentals through it. By making a reservation, you accept these terms in full. The rental agreement itself is signed at vehicle pickup between you and the licensed partner rental agency providing the vehicle.
3 Driver Requirements
The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year. A valid ID or passport is required. For non-EU licenses, an International Driving Permit may be required. There is no maximum age limit. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements.
4 Booking & Payment
Online bookings via Stripe require either 10% deposit or full prepayment (with 10% discount). The remaining balance is paid at the partner agency upon vehicle pickup. AutoRent.gr collects online payments on behalf of the rental partner. Payment receipts from Stripe serve as proof of payment; the official tax receipt (ΑΠΥ/invoice) is issued by the rental partner at pickup, together with the rental contract.
5 Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation: more than 48 hours before pickup → 100% refund. Within 24-48 hours of pickup → 50% refund. Less than 24 hours / no-show → no refund. Refunds for pre-pickup cancellations are processed by AutoRent.gr via Stripe. Issues arising during or after the rental are handled directly by the rental partner.
6 Insurance
All rentals include comprehensive insurance (μικτή ασφάλεια) provided by the rental partner: 0€ excess (full damage waiver), theft protection, third-party liability and 24/7 roadside assistance. Important: the comprehensive insurance covers damages from accidents ONLY when the Greek Highway Code (KOK / Κώδικας Οδικής Κυκλοφορίας) has NOT been violated. Coverage does NOT include damage caused by KOK violations (e.g. running red lights, exceeding speed limits, ignoring stop signs), gross negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol / drugs / prohibited medication, use by an unauthorised driver, or off-road driving. In such cases the renter is fully liable for the vehicle damage and any third-party claims. Traffic fines are always the driver's responsibility. Full insurance terms are detailed in the rental contract signed at pickup.
7 Renter Obligations
The renter must: treat the vehicle with care, not smoke in the vehicle, not allow unauthorized drivers, report any accidents immediately to the rental partner, and return the vehicle on time and in the same condition (normal wear excepted).
8 Airport (SKG) Pickup & Drop-off — Shuttle Service
When you select Macedonia Airport (SKG) as your pickup and/or drop-off location, please note that the signing of the rental contract and the physical handover of the vehicle take place at the partner rental agency's office, located approximately 5 minutes (by van) from the airport. The vehicle is not handed over inside the airport terminal itself, as that area is restricted; this is standard practice for car rental at SKG. The procedure is as follows: (a) Pickup — upon arrival at SKG, you call the phone number provided in your confirmation email. A complimentary shuttle van picks you up from the designated arrivals meeting point and drives you to the office (~5 minutes), where you sign the rental contract, settle any remaining balance and receive the vehicle. (b) Drop-off — you return the vehicle to the partner office; after handover, the shuttle van transports you back to Macedonia Airport (~5 minutes). The shuttle service is included in the displayed "airport pickup/drop-off transfer fee" — there is no additional charge beyond what is already shown in your booking. By completing a booking with airport pickup or drop-off, you acknowledge and accept this procedure.
9 Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned full. If returned with less fuel, a refueling charge plus service fee applies, as charged directly by the rental partner.
10 Limitation of Liability
AutoRent.gr (Creative Media) acts solely as a booking platform. AutoRent.gr is not liable for: (a) the condition of the vehicle or its mechanical operation, (b) damages occurring during the rental, (c) traffic violations, fines or penalties, (d) acts or omissions of the rental partner once the vehicle has been delivered. Any disputes regarding the rental service itself are addressed directly to the rental partner that issued the tax receipt and signed the rental contract.

12 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Greek law. For disputes regarding the platform service, the competent courts of Thessaloniki shall have exclusive jurisdiction. For disputes regarding the rental service, the dispute is between the customer and the rental partner.
